Our Story.
What began as a personal obsession with detail and design has become a family-run mission to reshape the way we live with furniture.
After nearly three decades of working hands-on in the built environment—collaborating with craftspeople, exploring historic spaces, and experimenting with new technologies—I started designing furniture that could carry those same values: integrity, adaptability, and lasting beauty.
For three years, I’ve been refining a unique, tool-free attachment system—prototyped with CNC routers and 3D printing—and have applied for a patent. This innovation is at the core of every piece we make, from dining tables to coat racks to lounge chairs, still in development.
Our flat-pack furniture isn’t just easy to assemble—it’s meant to live with you, move with you, and age with you. We use the best materials we can source: sustainable, certified-forest plywood, non-toxic adhesives, and a natural finish-in-progress that’s food-safe and patina-friendly—designed to be cared for and loved over time.
We’re proudly American-designed and assembled by a small, passionate team: my retired engineer father (the CNC master), my two college-age kids, my incredibly supportive wife, and myself.
This isn’t fast furniture. This is furniture for life.
The Harrison Charles Approach.
Quiet Craft. Honest Design. Built to Last.
At Harrison Charles, we believe furniture should be more than functional—it should feel essential. Our work draws from the quiet rigor of Japanese craftsmanship and the warmth of Scandinavian modernism, filtered through a distinctly American sense of utility.
Each piece is crafted from high-quality, certified plywood and brought to life using a proprietary joinery system developed over three years. Designed for tool-free assembly and long-term strength, our patented connections are both structural and expressive. They’re part of the story, not hidden from view.
Our forms are intentionally simple—rounded edges, clean lines, balanced proportions—yet they carry depth. The curves soften the logic of the geometry. The grain of the wood is honored, not masked. And the finish? A hand-rubbed, food-safe hard wax oil that lets the material breathe and the user connect. No plastic shine. Just a soft, natural touch.
This is furniture that whispers, not shouts. It belongs in real homes, with real lives. It’s made to be assembled without stress, used every day, repaired if needed, and loved for a long time.
We’re proud to be different from mass-market flat-pack. Our work isn’t fast fashion—it’s considered, enduring, and personal.
Welcome to Harrison Charles.
Furniture that fits—your space, your values, your life.
